You Say Potato, I Say Periodontal ...
I religiously read the Times wedding section for the mixed-attractiveness couples. This week's theme, however, seems to be Women With Huge Gums and the Hot Men Who Love Them ...

#ThrowbackThursday
The guys en route to getting fitted for our tuxedos for my brother Bill's wedding in Vegas, circa 2000. That's the bride's brother (Jamie), my sister's husband (Anthony) and me in the top row -- and my stepfather (Gary), my middle brother (Terence) and Bill in the lower row. What a fun weekend that was!

The Beauty Bunch
Truly happy for them, but if these people were any more perfect, I think I would vomit all over myself. I'm surprised they even know people who die.

Milk Toast
In case you missed it, slain San Francisco Mayor George Moscone's son tied the knot over the weekend in the city by the Bay. As you will recall, Dad was murdered with fellow civil rights champion Harvey Milk back in 1978. It's times like this you really hope there is an afterlife. Both men should be proud to see that while their deaths were certainly senseless, the legacy of their lives' work carries on.

Novak's Back
My frustration with Novak Djokovic continues as he was once again his old self on Sunday, rising to the occasion when it mattered most in his thrilling 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (3) win over Juan Martin del Potro to capture a second Shanghai Masters title. Del Potro looked invincible when he blew Rafael Nadal off the court in the previous round, but couldn't quite beat Nole, who has suddenly decided to play like he did in 2011-12 again. Where were you in London and New York, Mister?

The Day Larry Kramer Kissed Him
Congrats are in order!
The New York Times reports:
Larry Kramer, the award-winning playwright of “The Normal Heart” and longtime gay rights advocate, married his partner, David Webster, on Wednesday in the intensive care unit of NYU Langone Medical Center, where Mr. Kramer has been recovering from surgery for a bowel obstruction. Mr. Webster, in a telephone interview on Thursday, said the couple had set the wedding date a few weeks earlier, before Mr. Kramer’s health flare-up.
The original plan – to be married on the terrace of their Greenwich Village apartment with two witnesses and the officiant, Judge Eve Preminger – was scrapped in favor of the intensive care unit, where two dozen friends and relatives attended the noontime ceremony led by Judge Preminger.Full story HERE.

Here Comes the Hunk
Despite my repeated pleas for him to not go through with it, Eric Decker -- aka The Second Hottest Football Player of All Time -- tied the knot with Jessie James over the weekend at St. Francis church in Castle Rock, Colo. The good news is they are slated to film a reality show based on their first year of wedding bliss, so you know the Broncos wide receiver will be back on the market again in no time!
