I must confess that I was a Vanity 6 fan back in the day, and kind of dismissed Rick James' counterpart to Prince's slutty girl group. But looking back on the catalogues of both -- Apollonia 6 included -- this is the song that has best stood the test of time, not to mention the Girls' being sampled by everyone from the Black Eyed Peas, Kylie and J.Lo to LL Cool J, Mary J. Blige and Redman.
