Great story. Similarly, I had the biggest crush on a 9th grade stud when I was only in 7th... cut to 8 years later in college, and we're in a random class together. And he remembered me! ("You were that strange kid who stared at me all the time...") Sadly, terminally str8, but quite friendly in class through the entire semester.
It's after 2 a.m. and I just got back from attending my friend Larry's funeral in Fort Lauderdale. I hope to resume regular blogging...
