RIP: Inspector Pine, the deputy police inspector who led the raid on a gay bar in Greenwich Village in 1969 and later apologized for his role in the turmoil, has died at the age of 91. Pine was interviewed at length in the recent documentary "Stonewall Uprising," and was a high point of the film. (NYT)
