Buzz It Like Beckham: I have to say that bleach-blond look was not working for even Becks. For Mr. Posh Spice, the buzzcut is where it's at. (Source)
Knock Out: I was surprised to see HBO big shot Chris Albrecht was forced to resign yesterday after he'd already initiated a leave of absence for alcoholism, his excuse for assaulting his girlfriend, until I read that Time Warner had already shelled out $400,000 to silence another subordinate/gal pal of his whom he choked in the workplace. What a fucking freakshow. (NYT)

Broken Record: How many times is Ricki Lake going to work the exact same "I lost half my body weight" story? Here's an idea: Stop doubling your weight in the first place. (Us)
Ailing: Former televangelist Tammy Faye Messner said doctors have stopped treating her cancer and that her weight has dropped to 65 pounds. In a letter posted Tuesday on her Web site, Messner thanked her "faithful friends" for sending her flowers, cards and gifts as she battles cancer for a third time. The 65-year-old Charlotte resident was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 1996, and she announced in 2004 that the disease had spread to her lungs. "The doctors have stopped trying to treat the cancer and so now it's up to God and my faith. And that's enough!" she wrote. (AP)
Clay-Rod: I'm stunned that Andy Roddick opened his clay-court by easily beating 2004 French Open champion Gaston Gaudio 6-1, 7-6 (8) at the Italian Open. Can he keep it up? (AP)
WhatLovin' Feeling? If there is a woman in Los Angeles who Phil Spectorhasn't pulled a gun on, please step forward. (AP)
Granola Gay: Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski signed two major LGBT civil rights bills Wednesday at a ceremony in front of the legislature. One bill would allow same-sex couples and opposite-sex couples unable to marry to form legally recognized partnerships. The other amends the state's non-discrimination laws to include sexual orientation. (Source)
Goodbye 1950s: Kudos to the state of Kansas for finally denouncing "abstinence-only sex ed." The studies prove it doesn't work, and kids need proper education on protection. (AP)
