Manhunt: It's been a year since 19-year-old Rashawn Brazell's dismembered body parts were found on subway tracks in NYC, but the authorities are no closer to finding his killer. (Rashawn's head has never been found.) If you know something about this case, please contact the NYPD. His distraught mother, Desire Brazell-Jones, said this over the weekend: "I want who did this off the street, and I want the rest of my child. That's the bottom line." Please help her. A panel discussion on intersectional identity (Brazell was gay) focusing on Brazell's murder will be held at Princeton on Feb. 22. Click here for more info. (NYT)

What a Fat-Ass: A 37-pound woman gave birth to a premature but otherwise healthy baby boy recently. I hear she ballooned up to 40.5 pounds during the pregnancy. I sure hope this baby weight doesn't linger on. (ABC)
A Stinging Endorsement: What do you do when the two fawning blurbs you have on your big first novel are from James Frey and JT LeRoy? (NYT)
Auction Sniper: Have you been following the case of Neil Entwistle, the Brit who is accused of blowing away his wife and infant daughter? The whole thing is pretty horrifying, but I will say in his defense: selling shit on eBay can be really stressful. (Newsweek)
Dave Tatsuno, a Japanese-American businessman and amateur filmmaker, died on Jan. 26 at 92, but the secret home movies he made of life in the Topaz internment camp during World War II will live on forever. "Here we are behind the barbed wire and my brother comes in wearing an American Army uniform with a guard to visit his family in a concentration camp," Tatsuno said. "At that time, I didn't think about it. But it's a very important shot." To say the least. May he rest in peace. (NYT)
