A quick search of my blog reveals that I have written about club kid and convicted murderer Michael Alig far more times than you would think. (When a friend visited him in prison; when INTERVIEW interviewed him; when he was the answer to a Joan Rivers trivia question; when a leg was found in the East River; when he was looking for a post-prison roommate on Twitter; and so on.)
Now add this post to the tally, as Back2Stonewall is reporting that Alig will finally be released from the big house May 5, after serving a 17-year sentence for the murder of Andre “Angel” Melendez. Watch your wings, boys!
