Bored with what's on your iPod? Have I got the thing for you. Former Belly leader (and ex-Throwing Muses/Breeders guitarist) Tanya Donelly's latest album, "This Hungry Life," is officially my favorite album of 2006 -- even if I didn't know about till 2007. You can hear two tracks on her MySpace, although you'll have to buy it to hear the best track of all ("Littlewing").
An album that's getting a lot more attention, however, is Everything But the Girl singer Tracey Thorn's hypnotic new disc, "Out of the Woods." Its familiar, '80s dance vibe just makes me smile from ear to ear. Check out some of the songs on her MySpace and you'll see what I mean.
