I was walking down 8th Avenue as the sun went down and noticed the Empire State Building peaking out in the distance and it reminded me how happy I live in this town.

This handsome devil is Michael's friend John's cat,
Junior. He's nearly 20 years old and as cute as ever. He's a little blind so when you first come into the room he'll give you this oh-so-intimidating hiss (he weighs about 3 pounds and wouldn't hurt a fly). But once he realizes it's you he's all, "Oh, hi" and jumps on your lap.

I stopped by to visit my pals Rupert Jee and May over at my old favorite lunch spot, the Letterman-famous
Hello Deli on West 53rd Street the other day. When I worked at (that god-forsaken hell hole) PR Newswire my friends and I would eat there just about every day. I was tickled to see that PRN -- after years of patronage and loyalty -- finally had a sandwich named after it, but then was even more tickled to see that they had misspelled the company's name on the sign -- the PRN Newswire ... (it sounds like a really gross sandwich, btw, although the
Web site has a totally different set of ingredients but keeps the typo in the name!).

Walkin's welcome, but what about crawlin'? If your feet hurt bad enough to see a podiatrist you'd think they'd welcome everyone no matter how they get there.

I'm so looking forward to
"Wedding Wars." It's good to see that it's getting lots of publicity -- these things are plastered all over town.

And finally, Michael and I stopped to take these photos on one of Michael's favorite streets in the Village. He looks like he might even be smiling a bit.
