Rain and lightning have delayed both the Citi Open singles finals in Washington, leaving the women's championship suspended with Jessica Pegula leading 6-4, 1-2 over teenage sensation Alexandra Eala, while the men's final between Taylor Fritz and teen Rafael Jodar has yet to begin.
Tournament organizers still hope to complete both veteran-vs.-rising-star showdowns Sunday evening, with the women's final set to resume no earlier than 7 p.m. EDT before the men's match gets underway.

Kristina Liutova capped a dream a week in Memphis with a maiden WTA title, rallying from a set down to defeat Darja Vidmanova 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 in just over two hours. The 16-year-old Russian who has trained in Washington state since 2020 started her run in qualifying and finished it lifting the trophy, hearkening back to the days of Tracy Austin and Andrea Jaeger.
