Weekend Tennis Roundup

Aussie Open warm-up titles for Machac, Menšík, Andreeva and Cocciaretto. Full report plus all the ATP beef that's fit to post BELOW.

Tomas Machac kicked off his season in style, lifting the Adelaide ATP 250 trophy after a three-set tussle with Ugo Humbert, 6-4, 6-7(2), 6-2.

It’s the Czech’s second career ATP title -- following Acapulco in 2025 -- and a tidy reminder that Mr. Short Shorts is back and healthy and ready for the season ahead.

Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten cruised to the doubles title in Adelaide, brushing aside Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz 6-3, 6-2 in the final. The win delivered Heliövaara his 13th ATP Tour crown and Patten his ninth.

Anyone else enjoy the Kama Sutra pose?

Czech mate Jakub Menšík defeated Sebastián Báez in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7) to win the men's singles tennis title in Auckland. It was also his second ATP Tour title.

Théo Arribagé and Albano Olivetti claimed the men’s doubles title in Auckland, edging Alexander Erler and Robert Galloway 7-6(7-2), 6-4 in a nervy final. The win marked Arribagé’s third ATP Tour doubles crown and Olivetti’s fourth -- proof that when this pairing clicks, it really clicks.

Mirra Andreeva made quick work of Victoria Mboko to claim the title in Adelaide, rolling 6-3, 6-1 in the final. The win marked Andreeva’s fourth WTA singles crown -- and another calm, commanding step forward from a player who keeps looking inevitable. But also nice to see Mboko prove her win in Canada was hardly a fluke.

Two years after falling just short in Hobart, Elisabetta Cocciaretto finally closed the loop. The Italian lifted the singles trophy on Saturday, upsetting third seed Iva Jovic 6-4, 6-4 to claim her second career WTA title. She also became the fifth qualifier to win the Aussie Open warm-up event.

Franco Agamenone lifts the Challenger trophy in Buenos Aires after battling past Andrea Collarini 3-6, 6-4, 6-2

In doubles, Mariano Kestelboim and Marcelo Zormann had a lot to celebrate in Buenos Aires
