Valentin Vacherot and Coco Gauff won big China. Full report plus all the ATP beef that's fit to post BELOW.
Sexpot Valentin Vacherot beat his fellow sexpot cousin Arthur Rinderknech 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday to win the Shanghai Masters for the first title of his career(!) after a extraordinary run from the qualifying rounds. The 204th-ranked Vacherot, an unheralded 26-year-old, was the lowest-ranked tournament winner in ATP Masters 1000 history -- and the first from the tiny Principality of Monaco.
He stunned 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in the semifinals to set up a final against the 30-year-old Rinderknech, who had downed four-time major finalist Daniil Medvedev, the 2021 U.S. Open champion, in a remarkable semifinal of his own.

Team Valentin includes Benjamin Balleret, Valentin's half brother, a former ATP player in his own right, and athletic trainer Julien Wahl
The story behind Vacherot's emergence from relative obscurity is remarkable:
* It was the first men's tour singles final between family members since John McEnroe beat brother Patrick at the Chicago Open in 1991
* Vacherot was not on the original qualifying list so only entered after two players withdrew
* He fought back from a set down to win in six of his nine matches
*The 26-year-old had won just one match on the main ATP Tour before this tournament, having mainly competed on the lower-level Challenger Tour
In doubles, the German duo Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz defeated Andre Goransson of Sweden and American Alex Michelsen 6-4, 6-4
In women's I didn't see the beginning of the match, but the Gray Lady reports that after using world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka’s pace against her during a gritty semifinal win Saturday, Jessica Pegula fell to a junk-ball masterclass from a tactically inspired Coco Gauff in the Wuhan Open final. Gauff triumphed 6-4, 7-5 for her second title of 2025, and her first WTA 1000 title of the year. When I heard that Gauff had fallen down 4-0 in the second set I knew she had her countrywoman right where she wanted her.
