I’m on my honeymoon so trying to avoid much news. But since you last heard from me it seems Sinner, Mannarino, Kudermetova and Jabeur won titles. I will try to flesh this post out at a future date, but until then enjoy the ATP mancandy I’ve collected BELOW!
This week in review:
Jannik Sinner defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, 7–6(7–2), 7–6(7–2) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 China Open. It was his first win over Medvedev on his seventh attempt.
Adrian Mannarino became the first Frenchman since 2020 to win multiple tour-level titles in one season on Tuesday when he earned a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 comeback victory against Sebastian Korda in the Astana Open final.
Tunisia's Ons Jabeur produced a dominant display to beat Diana Shnaider 6-2 6-1 in the Ningbo Open final.
Veronika Kudermetova defeated America's Jessica Pegula, 7-5 6-1, to win the Japan Open title on Sunday. The world No. 19 has now claimed two WTA singles titles over the course of her career, with this win the first since April 2021.
Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow defeated the defending champion Mate Pavić and his partner, John Peers, in the final, 7–6, 7–6, to win the doubles tennis title at the 2023 Astana Open. It was their fourth ATP Tour title of the season.
Defending champion Ivan Dodig and his partner, Austin Krajicek, defeated Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in the final, 6–7, 6–3, [10–5] to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2023 China Open. It was their fifth ATP Tour title of the season, and their eighth overall.
