Although it came at a price -- "Ebony and Ivory" and "The Girl Is Mine" come to mind -- I'm grateful that I'm old enough to have been around when members of the Beatles were having hit singles. One in particular is today's song of the day, when George Harrison -- the Kathy Valentine of the Beatles -- sat impossibly atop the Billboard Hot 100 above Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince and the rest of the recording world!
Harrison released the song -- written and composed by Rudy Clark and originally recorded by James Ray in 1962 -- on his 1987 album, "Cloud Nine." It was the last album of his lifetime.
