Song of the Day: 'Counting the Beat' by the Swingers

 

This one popped into my head last week, from a pre-Crowded House offshoot of Split Enz featuring Enz cofounder Phil Judd. The Swingers only released one album -- "Practical Jokers" in their native New Zealand, retitled "Counting the Beat" after the album's biggest hit for the U.S. The follow-up single, "It Ain't What You Dance, It's the Way That You Dance It," is also worth a listen.
