A huge win for Stefanos Tsitsipas in Monte Carlo, and a breakthrough for Astra Sharma in Charleston. Plus all the other action on and off the court HERE.

Briefly: Niko Basilashvili

Stefanos Tsitsipas won his first Masters 1000 event yesterday, defeating Andrey Rublev at the Monte Carlo Open. After both World No.1 Novak Djokovic and King of Clay Rafael Nadal fell in the earlier rounds, fourth-seed Tsitsipas was dominant on Sunday, hailing his 6-3, 6-3 win as the perfect end to the best week of his life.

On the women's side, unseeded Astra Sharma staged an impressive comeback Sunday to win her first WTA singles title, upsetting No.1 seed Ons Jabeur 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 in the Charleston 2 final. It wasn't the outcome I was hoping for -- I love Jabeur and HER HUBBY -- but I was happy for Australian nonetheless.

In men's doubles, Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic beat the British duo of Neil Skupski and Dan Evans 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 in the final to claim the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters on Sunday.

The Croatian cuties already lifted trophies at the Antalya Open, the Murray River Open, the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament and the Miami Open this year. Mektic and Pavic now have a 29-3 record in 2021.

If it's any consolation to the runners up, Neil still looks like this and Dan beat Novak for the first time in the singles.
