Rights of Gay Employees Up Next on Supreme Court Docket
For those who need a quick rundown, here's what Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are being handed tomorrow:
The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to OVERTURN a ruling the U.S. government won -- yes, its own government -- in favor of a transgender woman funeral director. (Seriously.)
Another case involves a man who was fired from his job in Georgia when his employer found out he played in a GAY SOFTBALL LEAGUE. When he filed suit in his home state, the Atlanta-based 11th Circuit dismissed it in an unsigned opinion relying on decades-old regional precedent allowing employers to discriminate against “effeminate” men. (Yes, seriously.)
