Re: Sophie's Choice -- is it okay to make Matthew Shepard jokes?
ReplyDeleteFor myself, 50 years later, and hopefully until I die, I will always hold the reflections of my grandmother's and great aunt's eyes as they reminisced the many family members who perished. Distant family members to me, but the pain my grandmother suffered was pain for me.
@Mike: A "Sophie's Choice" joke isn't about the Holocaust. It's a(n increasingly obscure) reference to having to make an impossible choice between two things you love. If my fellow "woke" citizens are seriously going to hang their hats on something like this, you had better prepare yourself for four more years of Crazy Donald -- because if *I'm* completely turned off by this nonsense, imagine how Middle America feels about it. Next you're gonna tell me that taking a "Silkwood shower" is poking fun at OSHA regulations.
ReplyDeleteWell, good luck then making false comparison arguments between Drumpf acts v Clinton acts. I guess if you can't see the difference between the most evil of acts by man against man v picking a favorite among beauties, then that makes sense of those who cannot see the corruption by Trump of the most fundamentals of Americanism.
ReplyDelete@Mike: Are you OK?
