Song of the Day: 'Mercedes Boy' by Pebbles


One of my favorite singles from that short-lived post-New Wave, pre-rap era of popular music, right up there with Nu Shooz, Stacey Q and Boy Meets Girl.

    Saw her open for Morris Day at the Orpheum in Memphis in '88 - she was almost as good as Morris!
