Cost of inmate in NYC almost as much as Ivy League tuition
The city's Independent Budget Office found that the city's annual cost per inmate was $167,731 last year. The figure is almost as much as it costs to pay for four years of tuition at an Ivy League university, only we're training a lot of non-violent offenders to become full-blown thugs. Read HERE.
That's not enough to pay for four years of an Ivy League. A year and half tops (so says my old loans.)
