I must be one of the one's that doesn't get it. Was it a joke? What ever the reason it seems in poor taste. Even if it was suppose to be an indictment of the Republican Party's intolerance.
Not a fan of The Onion. That piece is way over the top. The GOP will predictably say they're victims of haters & are misunderstood.
I do not believe The Onion intended this piece as a "joke". It is a brilliant statement of fact.
