Song of the Day: 'Save It for Later' by the (English) Beat


I confess: The (English) Beat are probably the band whose singles I liked best that I pursued other music by least.

    Yeah, I was the same way. For some reason I knew I didn't need to obsessively collect their records. But "Save It For Later?" Wow. Instant classic. Even the saxophone—which dates and ruins many an 80s pop song—works magic on this one.
