Our Nation's Long Nightmare Is Over

Has George Bush EVER said one thing that didn't come off either glib or making him sound like a fucking moron (or both)? Good bride??? Go ENJOY yourself???? I have so much faith in Barack Obama's ability to restore this great country's reputation. It can't happen soon enough.

I took this differently. To me, it was the good side of the "guy you'd like to have a beer with" mentality that correct-thinking people have been criticizing of late. I took the words as simple but sincere. And I thought McCain was quite gracious. That pair's A-hole followers are another story.

I agree with anonymous. I think it was an attempt to put all the ugliness of the campaigns behind us. I hope you're right Kenneth--I don't have quite as much faith as you do. I think McCain's sentiments are important though--we are all Americans, regardless of party, and we have to work together. Whatever party ended up winning, there's one major fact that can't be disputed--it's going to be a tough road. God Bless America!

Shouldn't Bush have said, "Sorry about breaking the world. Hee-hee."

Not to mention "your good bride" ... what the hell does that mean?
