  2. We're still perplexed here in Ventura why Oxnard was #35 when they don't even have a gay bar (or an open gay community to my knowledge), while Ventura has always had a prominent gay community and a popular local gay bar ("Paddy's"- and "Incognito" and "The Library" before that) for decades.

    Meanwhile, this other list came out and NYC did not even make the top 10! I guess it just depends on who is making the list and what criteria they use.
