I haven't understood any of the brouhaha over Cher's statement. I actually thought the (press agent assistant) written words were perfect -- "may not understand but will strive for understanding" ... or something like that.

Let's all be honest here. Cher isn't the plastic surgically enhanced poster rockstar for mother of the year. Republican Sonny wasn't much of a parental role model either.

I think any parent would be hard pressed in this situation.

But please, let's not forget that Cher has always said that she has never aspired to be a singer. She always just wanted to be a celebrity. And any good modern day celebrity knows that as long as they are talking about you, it's all good.
