You should checkout Petula’s last album, “Vu d’ici” (2018), a collection of contemporary French-Canadian compositions she recorded in Quebec at the young age of 85! It’s fantastic! Fresh and engaging, this is not one of those boring “resting on my laurels” affairs. Although sung entirely in French the album sounds like an updated version of her familiar 60s sound. The opening track “Ceux Qu’on Aime” would make Tony Hatch proud.<br /><br />Unfortunately the album is no longer on iTunes, however I found it on Spotify and on YouTube.<br /> <br />And I know it’s only a title but why isn’t she a “Dame”?
