Walz is a strong and safe choice. While I do think his appearance undercuts the more youthful (anti-Biden) image Harris is running on -- and doesn't really set up a future top of the ticket -- the "do no harm" mantra is especially in play with so little time before Election Day, so the decision makes sense. He was actually born the same year as Kamala -- making him just three years older than me! -- and seems to have boundless energy.

With zingers like this, his rollout seems to have been a big success. Onward.
