Title wins for Cam Norrie, Roberto Bautista Agut, Andrey Rublev and Jelena Ostapenko(!). Plus lots of action off the court, including further proof that hot white men can't resist playing golf BELOW.
Cameron Norrie showed that slow and steady wins the race, patiently winning two consecutive tie-breaks against the big-serving of Reilly Opelka to capture the crown in Delray Beach, his third ATP Tour title.
Roberto Bautista Agut ended his dominant week in style on Saturday, downing Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-3, 6-4 in the Qatar ExxonMobil Open final to win his first ATP Tour title since 2019. Although the Spaniard came out on top, it was the Georgian's clingy outfit that was the real winner! (Did you see that??)
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Diego Schwartzman 6-4, 6-2 to become the youngest ATP 500 champion since the category was created in 2009. It is the second tour-level title of the teen’s career following his breakthrough in Umag last year.
Andrey Rublev returned to the winners’ circle on Sunday, overcoming Felix Auger-Aliassime 7-5, 7-6(4) in the Open 13 Provence final in Marseille to lift his first ATP Tour trophy since March 2021.
Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski defeated Rohan Bopanna and Denis Shapovalov 7-6(4), 6-1 to capture the title in Doha
And in what must be a first, Jelena Ostapenko defeated four Grand Slam champs in a row before destroying Veronika Kudermetova at the Dubai Tennis Championships, 6-0 6-4 in just over an hour.
