I've always been skeptical of female-to-male HIV transmission in the Western world -- everyone in L.A. has long known Earvin Johnson's magic was making c**ks disappear -- and this allegation about Charlie Sheen engaging in unprotected anal intercourse with a man doesn't exactly un-bolster my suspicions. I understand the need to remind people -- especially in the epidemic's darkest days -- that AIDS is not just a "gay" disease. But it didn't matter how you got HIV then, and it doesn't matter now. What does matter is honest reporting and medical advice.
Finding out Charlie swings both ways sure would have been a lot hotter when "Lucas" came out. Sheen's camp is pushing back, of course, which tells us nothing.
Q-- "What does Charlie Sheen have for lunch?"
ReplyDeleteA-- "Two and a Half Men"
I completely respect your opinion. I guess I just think pretending heterosexual sex is as risky as gay sex is silly at this point.
ReplyDeleteWell that gave me an instant erection. Not the rapey stuff so much but I Charlie and Corey in Lucas were easily my first lusts.
ReplyDeleteThe Magic thing... I'm not so sure about. He has an out gay son, and the two of them don't even talk to each other because Magic is so homophobic. Maybe it's a self-hating thing; Magic hates it about himself and therefore cannot embrace his son who is so flamboyant... I doubt that though. I'd like to see some better source material on the subject.
I agree that gay sex is more dangerous and we should stop pussyfooting around that reality. That said, Charlie's sexual appetite for hookers and his drug habit probably put him at more risk than anything else.
