Did Anyone Ever Think Paula Deen Didn't Use the N-Word?

The only thing missing from this is her holding up a newspaper with today's date on it. (Porn in the workplace, though? You go, girl!)

UPDATE:  Deen clarifies position, says she "hates kikes way more" than she "hates niggers."

  1. Apparently, no one else on the entire planet has ever listened to, or told, off-color jokes before. That's good to know.

Seriously, this has gotten way out of hand. I just read that the Food Network isn't renewing her contract. So now her entire career is destroyed because a WHITE manager was offended by a racist joke.

  3. Paula's story is hard to follow. She only used the "N" word for "bad" people, yet she wanted tap-dancing "N" words for a wedding them? BAD ONES? What?

I think she's mostly harmless, like my wonderful late grandmother who used the word "darkie" with ZERO malice. But Grandma didn't have a national TV show, zillions of dollars, and PR people. Paula manages to get through a show without slinging offensive words, she seemingly knows better.

Paula making a remark. Does it really require all this attention? Anyone who has never used the "N" word are the only ones who can throw a stone. So I guess NO ONE and I mean not ONE SINGLE PERSON sucking up air on this planet can even think about picking one up to throw at her.

Thanks, Matt, for injecting a little sanity into this exchange.

Paula's probably not a racist, she's just ignorant of the very culture whose food she promotes. I don't believe she was fired for being a racist...there are plenty of gainfully employed racists in the public eye. She was fired for ruining her brand with lies. She lied about diabetes for years while collecting money from a drug company - then this lawsuit (which is over a year old) comes up and she lies about the allegations, equating it with extortion...only to admit later under oath that most of it was true. I mean, nobody can be blamed for that but her, and Brother Bubba (who sounds like he really knows how to let his freak flag fly!) lol
