Song of the Day: 'New Kid in Town' by the Eagles


   Feel free to make fun of me in the comments section for loving this song, from the band's 1976 album "Hotel California," a song I like even more.

    Great song! I love almost everything the Eagles did, really. But if you want to make fun of me, I also liked "Common Threads," the compilation CD where country stars recorded versions of Eagles' hits. Trisha Yearwood does an interesting rendition of this song.

    I loathe the Eagles, but this is the only song of theirs I truly, honestly adore. It's irresistible.

    I love this song, and most of the Eagles' repertoire, though not Hotel California itself, which I find interminable.
