I don't know if non-New Yorkers have been following this, but our mayor's attempt to ban really large sodas seems like it's actually going to happen. I'm not that worried -- I drink Coke Zero (diet sodas are exempt) and only patronize restaurants with FREE REFILLS -- but this attempt at curbing obesity seems to be poorly thought out given the fact that places like 7-Eleven (home of the Big Gulp and Super Big Gulp), and any other shop that isn't a chain are exempt. I won't miss Bloomberg when he's gone. Read HERE.
Soda sales are down but obesity is up. Sounds like there are more effective targets to have gone after.
