Not that I really care, but apparently it's common knowledge. So in case you're like me and didn't even "know about" Ricky Martin -- you're welcome! I've never seen Taylor Lautner in anything, but I heard his fey voice in a movie trailer once and just figured he was from Michigan, which -- I should add -- would make a great euphemism for being gay. That is from an interview he gave for his film Abductuon, if I'm not mistaken. One of hose press junket interviews. It's funny, if I remember correctly, because he sort of catches himself afterward.

ReplyDeleteI had a sort-of friend who worked in a restaurant, where the staff code-word for African-Americans was 'Canadian'. Why they felt that they needed a code-word I don't claim to know. And why that one, in particular, is truly unfathomable. Nevertheless, that is what 'Canadian' will always mean for me. Any way, being from Wisconsin, I kinda like Michigan. It's to our left as we face the rest of the country. Had a boyfriend used the words 'bowler' and 'bowling'. :)
