Great dinner last night with California's Speaker of the Assembly John Perez. Told his peeps he wanted to meet me and Andy Towle while he was in town -- says he starts every day reading our blogs -- very honored and flattered. What an interesting life he's had -- from Mexican gay boy in East L.A. to one of the state's most powerful politicians. Sad to report that all of his stories were off the record ... and there's a reason why!
