With thanks to my pal Nicky: Carol Morley's new film, "Dreams of a Life," chronicles the life and mysterious death of Joyce Vincent, a beautiful 38-year-old singer who remained dead in her apartment slumped on the sofa in front of the television for three years -- surrounded by Christmas presents she had been wrapping -- before anyone noticed she'd gone missing. How is this even possible? The trailer promises one of the saddest stories of all time.
