I only know of "Nanny and the Professor," by reputation. The rest, I'm VERY familiar with (born in 1966). I wonder if "Love, American Style" is being rerun anywhere.

Funny to see "The Brady Bunch" on ABC... I've only ever seen it in syndication (starting with channel 50, WKBD in Detroit). Same with the others -- though I had no idea Tom Jones ever had his own show!

ReplyDeleteBorn in 1959 and remember these all. Old enough to know that The Partridge Family was naff from the word go. And old enough to think that the professor from 'Nanny & The Professor' was kinda daddy-hot!
ReplyDeleteI loved all those shows (especially Nanny & The Professor), although I never truly appreciated Tom Jones (and never knew he had a show here in the US) until he played with Shakespears Sister in the nineties.
ReplyDeleteTom Jones? I remember him as a cultural phenomenon but couldn't have told you anything about his variety show. All the others, wow.
ReplyDeleteBorn in '64 and saw all of these when they originally aired. I also remember my anger and disgust when "That Girl" was preempted for the moon landing in 1969. Don't mess with a 5-year-old's crush on Donald Hollinger!
