If I was annoyed that Bethanie Mattek-Sands gets a disproportionate amount of press compared to her talent before, this latest publicity stunt -- a tennis-ball jacket designed by Alex Noble, of Lady Gaga fame -- really chalks my lines. Naturally, she lost in the first round to a qualifier and then refused to shake the umpire's hand when it was over.
