Playing Possum

While I'm not sure the Germans are the best arbiters of taste, they're definitely on to something with their love affair with Heidi, the cross-eyed opossum. The furry Fraulein is awfully cute. Something about the way her bright, black eyes turn toward her pointed pink nose is hard to resist -- and a lot more attractive than Angela Merkel.
