Sorry to read that Steve Landesberg -- best known as Det. Sgt. Arthur P. Dietrich on "Barney Miller" -- died today at 74. While my inexplicable "attraction" (at age 8) was clearly on Barney and Wojciehowicz (I know, even with the toup -- but those pants), it was Harris and Dietrich who always made me laugh. Thanks, Steve. You will be missed.UPDATE: Turns out The Times got his age wrong. He was 74, not 65. He still never changed, though.

I was probably around 12-13 when I watched it on Nick At Nite and Wojciehowicz definitely did it for me as well. Swoon!

He was only 65? He's looked exactly the same for the past 20 years.
