Trunk Show

The new GQ features its annual "How to Buy a Swimsuit" article. It claims to offer tips for guys with less-than-perfect bodies (stick legs, anyone?), yet all of the men are so smoking hot it's hard to know if this advice is actually word much. Even the PROBLEM/FIX bad trunks photos have you saying, I only wish I could look THAT BAD in my bathing suit ...

I saw that article too. I think the "advice" is total bullshit. In the GQ article, it says thin guys should go with a short-legged trunk. BUT, Ronen (from Parke and Ronen) told me (when I was in his store) that when he sells that style to department store buyers, the buyers refer to the short-legged trunk as the "fat person shorts".

I met a higher-up of Los Angeles magazine once, an he said the "style" department just basically makes up style rules for their articles for the hell of it. People just believe whatever they read in a magazine since they feel like an "expert" wrote it.

I dont think there are any rules - whatever you wear just has to match your body, style, confidence level, etc. It's hard to quantify it.
