My Life on the New York Times Best-Seller List

The entertainment gay world is abuzz about Kathy Griffin's reported $2 million deal with Random House imprint Ballantine to finally write her memoir. Naturally, everyone at The Abbey is wondering what she could possibly tell us that we haven't already heard on her reality TV show and myriad stand-up specials. But sources close to Griffin tell me that for 2 mil, the funny lady might finally be ready to go all Lauren Chapin on us and spill the beans about her pedophile older brother who is rumored to have died in prison -- or about that student she seduced and subsequently tried to stab with a cheese knife. (Allegedly.) I'm no Simon (or even a Schuster), but I smell a best-seller. (Where do I pre-order THIS one?)

    $2 million?
Geez... anyone heard of an economic crisis in our country right now? $2 million for a gossipy book is completely ridiculous.

Well, ha-lah, it's about damn time. I still wanna know why she dumpeded Matt. Did he embezlate her? And we all know she's doing it for da money. Her palace isn't paying for itself and her dawgs need food. Let's hope she catches this wave-crest (read, well, you know) and dishes all she really knows. I truly did love here when she was human.
