The Golden Boys

I have no use for any awards show that gives "30 Rock" an award every five minutes, yet won't even nominate "Milk." But I have no problem telling you who I thought were the hottest men at last night's Golden Globes:

Kevin Chris Pine (no idea who he is, but does it matter?); Colin Farrell, whose only "movie" I was ever able to sit through was one he made with an ex-Playboy model. And I've been able to "sit" through it a number of times, come to think of it ...

Brad Pitt has finally lost the idiotic mustache and looked quite good with his soccer dad look instead; Aaron Eckhart isn't really my type, but last night it was working ...

Pierce Brosnan and Patrick Dempsey are definitely my type ...

It's hard to tell if Gerard Butler or Michael C. Hall is the one who plays a serial killer, but it still works for me ...

  1. It's Chris Pine, not kevin. He is Kirk in the new StarTrek movie.

It's not Kevin Pine - it's CHRIS Pine. He is Capt. Kirk in the new "Star Trek" movie. Until that comes out rent "Princess Diaries 2" to see why he is so dreamy.

It's Chris Pine, not Kevin... he's been in some cheesy teen stuff, though I have to say right there he looks a lot like Joe 90/Virgil from Thunderbirds. A whole lot.

That Pine guy (who is playing the Younger Captain Kirk in a new Star Trek movie) has a huge head! And that hair-don't doesnt' help.

But you left out the hotness that is Jeremy Piven. Bad attitude and all, that guy is hot!

  10. You keep crapping over 30 Rock, but I haven't heard you mention any other shows that you think are better. Name one comedy (on tv today) that is better.
I really don't understand why you don't like this show.
It's the highlight of my week.
Sorry, but I can't give you a pass on this one.

I would have to agree with you on Colin Farrell's films. However, if you haven't seen "In Bruges", the film that he won for last night, you owe it to yourself to rent it. It's a very dark and comedic roller coaster.

Among my favorite Colin Farrell film's are:

A Home at the End of the World
    Cassandra's Dream
    The New World
    Phone Booth
    Minority Report
    Tigerland
    American Outlaws

I agree with the poster who recommended "In Bruges." It is one of the minor gems of 2008: quirky, funny in places and disturbing. And Mr. Ferrell absolutely deserved his award.

Michael C. Hall is the serial killer on "Dexter." Man, do you not own a TV? The guy is seriously hot, even when his character isn't sweating through his clingy polo shirts.

  15. EDITOR'S NOTE: The Butler vs. Hall serial killer remark was a reference to the creepy expressions on both their faces!
