I was kind of disgusted that Jon Stewart had Mike Huckabee on "The Daily Show" last night. Everyone says Huck's "so funny," but I find him to be a wolf in sheep's clothing, especially where the gays are concerned. But maybe that was the very reason the much-savvier-than-I Stewart invites the former presidential candidate on, to take him to task for some of his low-key but highly reprehensible views. This exchange on gay marriage and which is truly a choice -- religion or sexual preference -- is just the latest reason why I think Stewart is the BFF the gays have needed for the past 40 yeaars.
The stupidity of heterosexism makes it an easy target for comics. Sadly, most of them are too cowardly to go after it.
ReplyDeleteJon stewart reminds me of the south part of a horse facing north. From his interview with Amity Schlaes and his statement that he probably would have voted for McCain ve Gore reveals him to be a shithead of the first order.
