Violence in L.A. is like the smog, you just learn not to see it. I tell everybody that when I first moved out of L.A., it suddenly hit me everything I'd seen growing up I didn't know it wasn't normal. Then you start to start to see that people don't get shot on normal streets. People, you know, don't have to drive around the block just because someone got shot. In L.A. you stop seeing the body in the street and start seeing that you're inconvenienced 'cause you gotta park far away, and drive around the block because they have the street closed off. It's a cold game but when it's something you see every day ...
Hey, you never know. Some of those tract housing developments in Sherman Oaks can be pretty rough.
