A Few Good Men

It's getting to be that time of year -- you know, List time. GQ had its annual Men of the Year issue this month and I couldn't help but agree with a few of them, most notably Mets stars David Wright and Jose Reyes. These two young guys irrevocably undid the saying "Nice Guys Finish Last" ... and put the "man" back in sportsmanship. Looking forward to next season.

Also noteworthy was Ben Affleck, who did us all a favor and stopped making crappy movies for a whole year. Sure, I never saw his comeback film, "Hollywoodland," (who did?), but he's still kinda cute and makes an even hotter daddy type. Lastly, Stephen Colbert took it up a notch in '06 -- and we're all a lot better off for it. His Better Know a District segment on "The Colbert Report" is arguably the funniest thing on TV. Thanks for the laughs, Mr. Noblet.

  1. Actually, I did see "Hollywoodland," and I gotta say, it was good. FAR better than anything else in quite a while featuring our boy Ben...
