I was thrilled to see Martina Hingis in fine form in her first-round match at the Australian Open yesterday, crushing the self-esteem-challenged Vera Zvonareva.Sadly, Robby Ginepri -- who looked ultra-fit in his first-round win -- blew a two-sets-plus-a-break lead to lose to qualifier Denis Gremelmayr of Germany, 2-6, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3. Because my cutie is out of the tournament I feel justified in putting all three photos I found from the match. Not sure what happened there -- it's not like his mind could have wandered off much.
With Ginepri out, Andy Roddick is left to keep the American hopes alive. One thing's for sure: if Andy keeps practicing shirtless, he'll definitely be keeping my interest in the game alive. Woof!
