Anderson Cooper: Vanity Fair?

I wrote about People magazine's sexiest men issue last week, but I finally flipped through the hard copy at the drugstore yesterday.

Now maybe I'm mistaken, but I could have sworn that every man who made the list had a big thing across the top with his name, occupation AND age. Everyone except Anderson Cooper.

Now I'm not saying the Latin-boy-loving newsman lies about his age — he's widely reported as having been born in 1967, making him a very believable 38 — but is it a copy-desk/layout error that kept his age off these pages, or is the requisite vain-queen syndrome already kicking in?

Anderson is so appealing. It appears that he wants us to like him, really like him.

I noticed the exact same thing...

for some reason it makes me like him just a little more, though, because it definitely seems like something i would do...

This is what happens when you 'flip through the hardcopy' rather than, you know, actually reading it. Look again. One section, 'wanted men' or something like that, had ages posted at the top. Some of the other sections may or may not have mentioned ages in the text. In Cooper's section (sexy and smart), some of the guys were given a vintage and some were not.

If you note the People's online page, you'll see Cooper's age is stated.

You're really reaching here, guy. Question: why?

A little defensive there, huh, Anderson?

Why does everyone pick on Anderson Cooper? The guy is smart, sexy and successful. He's also had a lot of adversity in his life. His mom is Gloria Vanderbuilt, his dad died when he was 10, and his brother commited suicide when he was 21. If the guy chooses to not discuss his sexuality with America, let him be. Also, his age isn't a big secret. He's 37 and he says so here:

Heh. I think you just answered your own question... to wit: The guy is smart, sexy and successful.

Re your age discrepency question, Anon2 - the articles posted on the 360 archive are old columns he wrote for Details magazine and are dated; thus he was 37 when he wrote about his mom's book, and 38 now.

Anderson is everywhere! ! !

Yes, he is everywhere but off air when CNN was discussing 'guy marriage amendmend" as a headline. Coincidence? Also the AC360 blog did not take the issue (gay marriage) either. Any clue why?
